The i-Wheel series 3213 in action
BLDC motors (brushless DC motors) from Ketterer are powerful, brushless electric motors. They are available in variants as internal rotors and external rotors and combine high torques with minimal space requirements. If an encoder system is integrated, the motor is suitable as a servo drive. The number of windings and circuitry can be adapted to the customer’s application. In the external rotor motor version, the outer surface moves around the fixed axis. A BLDC motor from Ketterer is a powerful, precisely controllable drive that is used, among other areas, in electromobility as well as in automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and automated guided carts (AGCs).
Ketterer has developed the modular drive platform “Ket-Rob” for this purpose. “Ket-Rob” forms the basis for customer-specific automated guided vehicles (AGVs) or automated guided carts (AGCs) and can be quickly and flexibly adapted to individual requirements in practice. The platform consists of a slim frame made of aluminum profiles to which two drive wheels and four free-moving wheels are attached. The gearless BLDC wheel hub drives have a durable wheel covering made of Vulkollan or solid rubber. Ketterer’s “Ket-Rob” can save many development steps and resources when developing an innovative AGV or AGC.
Are you looking for a BLDC motor for your application or are you in the process of developing your own automated guided vehicle system? Ketterer’s strong development team would be happy to support you every step of the way.
The Ketterer bldc wheel hub drives have been specially developed for use in Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). This bldc motors are designed as direct drives that are completely integrated in the wheel and therefore need neither an additional gearbox nor an extra motor. The bldc-motor series consists of three high-performance wheel hub drives, which can reach torques up to 34 Nm and speeds up to 27 km/h. An extremely flat design combined with a high power density allows this bldc motors an application with very tight installation spaces. The compact all-in-one solution not only impresses due to its benefits in terms of space requirements but also thanks to the fact it is maintenance-free and has a service life many times longer than systems equipped with a gearbox.
