Automation and process monitoring, well established and often-used terms in industry, are becoming more important in the field of modern agriculture. In modern stalls for animal husbandry a range of parameters must be monitored and occasionally automatically adjusted.

For example, the supply of fresh air is regulated by ventilation flaps that are opened or closed automatically; Ketterer has designed a special drive for this purpose. It is mounted onto the flap and can be moved automatically into the position desired by means of a specially designed worm gear. An integrated position sensor gives the required position data.
